While it is graded more or less correctly, I think, I just really liked it. What do you think?

The most important thing is that you like it and was ok with the price.

The Morgan dollar Overpaying Tribunal (MDOT) forgives you--this time. MS65+ it seems.

shes a little weak in strike for this year. hair around ear and breast should be a little more defined. luster appears broken across cheek. surface preservation is decent with some scuffs and a few minor marks on the profile. some marks across PLURIBUS. nice eye appeal for the grade.

i cant get to MS65 due to the missing luster and weaker strike. low end MS64

Textbook MS64, if you paid $500 then I would say its a fair price. There's too many marks for an MS65, and still too many for 64+ in my opinion.

Some rim damage near 'United' also.

I'll say MS-64, but 65 wouldn't completely surprise.

I like the coin .... but the marks above the eye in the hair, and on the I of PLURIBUS. make me say MS-64.

Thanks to the Redfield Hoard there are lots of 1891-S out there in 63-64. This coin isn't a Redfield coin (unless it was cracked out and submitted) but I would be at MS63. Slightly weak strike and a bit too many bag marks / too much chatter to pull a 64.
