Wow, the total pennies today in circulation is impressive. Thats a huge stack. 625,110.4 tons lol! I'd take lifetimes to search those :)

My first thought was "a million pennies didn't take up much volume..." but if you tried to put them into your pants pockets, you would have a problem.

Great site! That much metal in circulation certainly demonstrates why we should get rid of the cent.

I disagree , bring back the Half Cent! and start making mills to!! Im sick of being jipped out of 4 tenths of a cent when I go to the gas station. -XoG
