I found out in the "Andrew Jackson Papers: Series 1" On the date on March 30th. 1839... ( 1839-3-30) Anderson wrote a check to H. Bernard. for $123.29...A original copy of this document is at the Library of congress. So my Question is: This date could add some value to this bill? Thanks in advances for your comments. Jackson wasn't in office at that time, the date is not formatted correctly on the $20 note and why is Jackson writing a check for a random amount to a random person significant ? In any case, as Steve mentions, the preferred date format would be MMDDYYYY. In general, I think outside of $1 birthday notes selling for $10, date serial numbers are not going to bring much of a premium anyway...unless it is 07041776 or 09112001 or something really significant to a large number of collectors.
