So this one I just picked up out of the infamous "give a penny, take a penny" cup at a commercial account of mine, but this one has a unique appearance! I'm gonna go ahead and assume this was PMD, but this yay-hoo gets an A for originality, because I have not seen one like this yet!

There have been numerous coins like that posted on the forum.
It is PMD as the surface has been ground down.

We are seeing so many of these lately, I wonder what is causing it. Maybe the new front load clothes washers?

May have been lodged under a heavy wooden pallet and a smooth concrete floor--like in a Costco. Pallet gets slid around and the coin gets harshly 'rubbed' laterally. Yes, we've seen many similar coins over the last couple years or so.
