This coin caught my attention for the unusually thick rim, at least that is the way it appears to me. Just above Lincolns head the rim is thick and deep but at the bottom it is thin and almost non-existent. The reverse of the coin exhibits the same pattern just not at significant at the obverse. I am curious if this is unique or just a common occurrence with no premium. Also a little education as to how this occurs. Thank you.

Just a slight Off Centre Strike , not enough to warrant a premium.

From the CCF Glossary
"A coin struck on a blank that was not properly centered over the anvil, or lower, die."

Agree, a slightly mis-aligned die. Not uncommon.

The rest of the issues with the plating, are fingerprints. Never a good thing for a coin.
