I suggest looking at the cost of comparable services instead, in 1949 and 2022. For instance, take a haircut. In the 40's and 50's it was about 25 cents. Nowadays about $20-40 dollars. So, a factor of about 100, which is again quite similar to the cost of a 1909s in 1949 and 2022.
