Ok so I have a 1799 draped bust dollar coin but I have a feeling that it's counterfeit cause it is missing the Liberty on the front of the
Coin!!! Am I correct in my assumption...if so is there any kind of a market for such coins(even if they don't bring a lot of $$$) and where could I start looking for a buyer? If there is a possibility that it may be real where should I start to get it authenticated?

@ Slick1982

You are brining back an old thread - it would be best to start a new one to receive proper attention to your question. I'll ask the Mod Dudes to separate this out for you.

And - we are going to need photos.

Bad fake. Don't bother with pictures. Why would anyone leave the word LIBERTY off?

Here's your marketplace. Souvenir shops that sell fake coins. They might give you a dollar for it, but probably not. They have cheaper sources that include the word LIBERTY for free.

Perhaps the coin is worn slick? Can't dismiss authenticity without seeing the coin...

Doesn't sound good, but pictures will tell the tale.
