Seems to be a fairly generic religious medal, Catholic in design.

I would consider it a charm rather than a medal. Agree, appears to be generic religious, probably meant for a charm bracelet.

Since it is on a safety pin, does anyone else think that perhaps it is meant for a baby (i.e. to attach to their diaper)? Or am I reading too much into that?
