Going to try and start posting some of the clips with nice Smith Effect when I get them. This is about as obvious as it gets with the clip tapering to the rim on all four points. 1938 Lincoln Wheat cent mint error - clipped planchet w/ Smith Effect

Nice one and a really nice example of the Smith Effect.

But no Blakesley Effect. I have doubts about the clip.

If a duck doesn't quack does that make you doubt it's a duck? There is no question this is a legit clip. And part of the new terminology "Smith Effect" is to add another substantial way to verify clips since many do not exhibit the Blakesley Effect.

Thanks for the boost of my insight. Also a good example that my Smith effect works well in tandem with the Blakesley effect.
