Hi guys. What's your impression of this IH Cent? I know it's beat up but do you think it's genuine? Weights 3 grams.

I suspect it is fake, due to the difference in details between 12 and 6 oclock on the obverse.

It has the correct Shallow N reverse, but even if genuine (which I doubt) it shows severe environmental damage and scrubbing. I wouldn't give this coin a second look.

Begs the question, why in the world would anyone produce such a cruddy fake? I mean, if you're going to go there, go there!

This would be a much easier fake to create than one showing realistic circulation and convincing color. If you could sell it for, say, a hundred bucks over and over you'd make a pretty penny, so to speak.

I lean more towards genuine but obvious details. There is too much glare to my eyes to properly assess.
