I paid 500 euros for mine and as long as the Gov don't take it away it makes my set look good even though it's fake.

I keep my fakes separate but my 1858 I found in change. Both the two in the image were sold as antiques but I failed to read the whole add that said medal copy not a coin. I would never trade sell or give one away they are a set like no other real set because real sets lack small letters variety in genuine set.

The best way to spot a fake is to learn what genuine cooper nickel looks like ms grade, circulated, and environmentally damaged and cleaned! So you know if it doesn't match one of the images for similarity then its some other kind of metal.

Unfortunately I thought it was real and I failed to read the add but at the time an 1856 cost 5000 dollars so I bought it thinking it was real but when I compared it to one in a coin shop I noticed it was yellow. I asked the shop keep and he said its not real. I'm learning how to spot fakes so its a good learning tool.
