1964 No Mint Mark Jefferson Nickel

datadragon Pillar of the Community United States 884 Posts	Posted 12/25/2022 8:56 pm Well its a 1964 which was a year of silver coins. Both proof and business strike 1964 nickels are extremely common, and a lot of the proofs were taken out from proof sets that people broke up to get the silver out of over lots of time, leaving the cents and nickels as leftover singles since they arent silver. So some of those proof cents and nickels likely found their way into circulation. (Impaired proof as Dearborn mentioned the techie name).
