mikediamond Pillar of the Community United States 2738 Posts	Posted 01/03/2023 2:43 pm This is an early-stage secondary brockage. In other words, a clashed cap strike. A late-stage die cap whose working face was devoid of details collided directly with the reverse die when a planchet failed to be fed into the striking chamber. The working face picked up a fresh raised design and transferred it to the next few planchets. I suspect this was the second planchet struck after the clash. Error coin writer and researcher.
