Struck through cap die Brokerage...I agree on The error ..but I'm still leaning toward copper D mint small date..

This is an early-stage secondary brockage. In other words, a clashed cap strike. A late-stage die cap whose working face was devoid of details collided directly with the reverse die when a planchet failed to be fed into the striking chamber. The working face picked up a fresh raised design and transferred it to the next few planchets. I suspect this was the second planchet struck after the clash.

To sell here, you must have 250 posts under your belt first. But you can get all the advice you need to find out its possible value and sell it on ebay or something similar.

Still would love to see an in focus image of the obverse though.

It's worth in the $50-100 range imo. More on the $50 side if you want to sell it quickly. If you put an email on your account I'm sure one of these guys would contact you?!?

looks like a large date. But I don't see any MM on this coin.
