Somehow, I do not think a dime collar could clash with a cent die, especially when the 'reed' looking marks go so far down the side like that. It is interesting though. I'm curious as to what others that are smarter than myself think.

The edge is not effected only the rim so I think something was put on the obv. then the rev. only touching rim and hammered to make Reed Marks.
