Hey everyone! I've run into a bit of an interesting issue... I managed to bleed on my nicer 1889P Morgan, giving it a few light bloodstains. Now honestly I decided it looks pretty cool, and I'm happy to say I own "blood money", but I'm curious how this might affect value! Any thoughts? Most visible on the top of the reverse

How do you manage to bleed on your coins?
Let it sit in Acetone.

This is probably the oddest inquiry for coin grade I have seen on forum. But in fairness will answer your post. It adds nothing and will eventually disintegrate. Money is not clean by any sanitary standard but after human blood whats next? Are you pulling peoples legs for a reaction?

Not my cup of tea, but if you like it, then great! Doesn't sound like you are looking to resell it, so I don't see a problem with it.

No big deal in this grade. I don't think we want to know how this happened. to the CCF!

Lol no I'm not looking for reactions. I sincerely doubt I'm the first to have bled on one of millions of Morgans
I was just curious if it made the coin less desirable to others.
I was holding it in my hand while donating plasma, and they prick your finger at the start to test something. I just didnt realize it was still bleeding later :/

Blood born pathogens are not desirable on coins, or anything else.

Acetone soak should clear it off.

Here's from my history as a L.E. Officer - makes for good DNA evidence. That's about all though.
