I had opened my first savings account and this was a gift from the S&L I kept her in a tiny, plastic box with all of my other treasures...hence, the marks on her face. We stayed in a hostel, while we got organised and found a home to live in. One day while running through the bush on the hostel site, I tripped on a rock, so I stopped to see what I had tripped on and the rock had flipped over, and underneath were a whole heap of old Aussie pennies and half pennies. Thus started my coin collection. Here is just one of those coins, but has been cleaned, as I didn't know any better....
