Think I'm finally getting close to acceptable hand-to-pic representation. I know off-white background is preferred however these are specific to web content and a black background is optimal. Tried axial and got to much reflection, mirrors just seemed to leave dark areas. Finally went with two LED overheads with 6500 support and 8 brightness - these seem to work best. Still getting a bit of reflection that I just cannot seem to eliminate. Feedback appreciated.

Those look pretty good. A bit over-sharpened, but not too bad. Not quite level. Good focus. I'd personally leave a bit more space around the coin.
For the hotspots, I'd recommend adding a bit more diffusion to spread the light more. Also you could reduce the exposure a bit (go to more negative EV setting if on A mode, or shorter exposure if on M) and decrease the in-camera contrast setting. The combo of those 3 should help the hotspots a lot.
All that said, the images really do look pretty good.

Not bad. Personally, I like the way you cropped very closely. I strive to do that myself. I've had no issues with axial lighting when the light source is diffused through tracing paper. I prefer axial but its a bugger to set up.

Your coin was lit from the right (east). You might consider an additional light source on the left (west). Or for a single lighting source try it from the northwest (upper left).
For your particular coin the "horn" is considered a prime grading feature, particularly the tip. The tip has almost disappeared in the shadow in that area.
And ijn1944's comment about axial lighting is correct. I've got the setup but haven't used it for years. It's a real pain to use. It takes a LOT of room to use.
Describe it as if there were no picture. Picture it as if there were no description.

Thanks All.
rpmsx2 - Exposure helped a ton, never really messed with it before. Turned Sharpness down to normal (had at strong) and dropped exposure (was at -1) to -4/3. High spots are pretty much gone - might turn the lights a bit brighter and try dropping exposure another level too.
kanga - have double lights on either side - both same angle and same color mode and brightness. I do see what you're saying tho, little darkness on right edge on O & R. Will monkey a bit and see if I can change that.
Just could not fine tune axial, gave up. Diffused with paper, bounced of a mirror and also tried glass. The side LEDs at 6500 seem to work best for my scope/setup.

What do you have contrast set to? I recommend setting to -4. This helps to recover shadows that might be lost with the lower EV setting.

My scope does not have a contrast setting, just white balance, ev, sharpness, and quality.

In that case you just need to balance the EV so you get the best overall contrast you can without blowing out the highlights. If you turn down the EV until you see just a few pixels go over-exposed, that will be your optimum point. Let's see your improved shots with lower EV and lower sharpness!!

DOCC, which scope are you using? I really like your pics.

What is the maximum diameter coin that it will accommodate while maintaining sharpness at the edges? I'm hesitant to buy from Tomlov due to a bad experience with them. Ordered one w/ 10" stand, they sent a lower grade model with 4" stand. Sent it back. Also, the extended shipping time from China is bothersome.

I got the 3 lens kit with 10 inch stand, 7 inch screen. Fits a dollar.
Only gripe is focusing, super hard to dial in as twist knob is jumpy/stiff.

I might not be the best expert but I think those have a good balance of detail and reflectivity, without getting too much glare.

The OP complained about the reflection/glare.
