Hi all, this is my first post here, just joined. New coin enthusiast too. I inherited some coins, about 100 wheat pennies with various dates.
I found a couple with really strange marks, the one below is the most unusual. I hope my pics show up well enough for you to critique. I appreciate your input in advance.

It is probably one of two things, post mint damage( PMD) or a lamination error caused by a poorly mixed alloy.

Interesting features--with the lamination issue being paramount. Keep it as a fun curiosity.

Looks like it someone was trying make this look like a lamination issue. But it looks all damaged to me. Sharp angle with a knife. Just a damaged Wheat cent now.

I think it's a legit lamination--at least part of it. I'm focusing on Abe's coat lapel
