Thanks. Even with the face having a number of marks? I could only show them properly on the sideways photo.
If it is that high, I'm pleasantly surprised!
Oddly this was the better looking coin on sale despite being the oldest.

I'm not quite that high, MS62.

I don't think she's a 64 and I don't think she's a 61...so there's only 62 or 63. I'm gonna side on 63 because the reverse carries her...but on the low side because the obverse hits. smat

Sorry all. I just realized in my other topic that the photos from my current phone camera are vary bad. Or I do not know how to use the thing best. The old phone is producing much more accurate photos. I put new ones here also to correct the record. Taken at an angle to make it easier to see contact marks. Next time I will make sure I have proper photos! I think I was unfair on the 1923 coin also because of the photos. :( But no longer have that one to get better ones.

the photos together are enough to assess it
MS62 - just to many hits to make 63 imo

Dropping my guess to MS-62.

I'm not really good with the gold simply because I haven't collected enough of it to gain the experience. That said, it appears from the second set of pics that there is some rub on the higher points above the eye and hair curls on the obverse. Combined with the numerous bag marks I would consider it AU+.

Thank you. I would be happy if it got graded MS62. I guess it is worth sending to a grading service. Don't know which is best to use, for someone in Europe. Was worried about the contact marks not showing up properly on the first pictures I took. It would be a lucky find, if the first couple of US coins I bought contains a scarce one.

Quote: I guess it is worth sending to a grading service there is really only 2 reasons to slab a coin 1. its rare and you want it authenticated 2. you are planning on selling it and it has a value of over $150 if you just want to protect the coin and you will hold onto it just put in an air tight and save all the costs of slabbing. if you still want to slab it I guess you can ship it to the US. I would use PCGS. you would need a subscription (lowest is $69) plus grading fee based on value plus shipping and insurance both ways. so it could be close to $100 to slab it. PCGS would give you the highest return if you sold it.
