Thanks for the reply!

I am very new to the Coin World, so am learning on the fly. Looked up cleaning— and I know for a fact these coins have not been touched since at least 1984, if not earlier. Is it possible they were cleaned that long ago and would still be considered cleaned? Is it possible they are just, well. clean?

With the large number of obverse scratches and hairlines, I'd say harshly cleaned, low AU Details. No telling when it was cleaned, but could have been anytime after it circulated for a couple years. I would say "later" in its life, as it really hasn't toned at all.

Coins have been being cleaned for many, many years, even ancient coins.

Prior to about the 1960s-1970s here in the US it was still considered acceptable to clean coins, and fairly common practice.

Even the Mint itself (and the Treasury) used to clean coins, including Proof coins.

Looks Low AU to high XF and details, either by cleaning or damage on the reverse rim. Still a nice coin about 25/30$ I would think as it sits.
