Can any KM number be found for this coin?
I obtained it years ago and may have posted the topic here or elsewhere with no resolution at the time.
The holder was marked "Mystery Date?"
The holder now is marked Nab, Unknown Israel, 1969 Shalom

We've seen them many times on the forum before - this 10 year old thread points to three other older threads. So don't be embarrassed, they've been causing confusion for a couple of decades now.

I've never seen any explanation as to what they actually are, or who, why or when they were made. In the old thread I linked to above, the Israeli mint denies it's one of their products. I can only assume they were privately made in Israel some time in the 1960-1983 period, back when normal 1 agora coins resembled this. The only theory I have is they were made by someone wishing to celebrate/commemorate the peace treaty with Egypt in 1979 - "shalom" meaning both "peace" and "hello" in Hebrew.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Very glad to learn the solution for this piece that has been in the box of oddities & unknowns for years.
I can explain that: I have so been busy working on so many others, this piece has was just set aside.
When I saw the other post about a coin from Israel, it prompted me to take it out of the box and give it another try to ID.
