Not my coin, (though I wish it was), wishing fortcollins was still around, he'd have fun playing guess the grade on this coin, miss his insights on the Buffalo nickel series especially. See if you can get close to or nail the grade NGC gave it. I think it's fairly graded myself. click on the photo to enlarge it in a new window as usual. A small scratch in front of 'E', so not perfect. Nevertheless, among the best I have seen, even in pictures. Reasonably well struck.
MS-66, but could have made 67.
In lots of cases, dark toning on Buffs can detract from eye appeal. Not so in this case, the subtle toning enhances the eye appeal. Needs to be in a strictly air tight environment, slabbing perhaps not secure enough.

What the heck, I'll say MS-67 as well.

Sure looks like a proof to me! I'm at PR66, but could see them saying PR67.

I'm also leaning towards it being a proof. I'll go with PR67.

That is, bar none, the most beautiful Buffalo nickel I've ever seen. No idea on a grade. It's Proof something amazing with a plus and a star and and every other possible superlative I can think of. Rainbow toning, to top if all off.

I'll guess PR-66 with that wonderful purple and rose toning! Simply stunning! Congrats!
