Even though the first of the seven coins is not due for release until tomorrow there are already at least 35 listings for these coins on ebay! According to the stats on ebay 32 three coin sets have been sold already as well as 91 x seven coin sets and several other sales completed already. There is even an unopened bag of 25 coins for $225! Theoretically those coins are stolen as they are only supposed to be available through the tills as change at Woolies. I wonder if Woolies or ebay will do anything about it? Will watch with interest.

Don't hold your breath Sally.

The Mints and ebay have created a monster with these 'popcorn' releases, encourages scalping and dishonest behaivour in general.

I will just stick to whatever I can find in pocket change, at face value.
I have about 250 different types of Decimal coins, dating from 1966,
but
I have far larger numismatic goals than these, covering the whole of numismatics.

Yep, you guessed it. The Mint said "nothing to do with us, take it up with Woolworths" and Woolworths said "not our problem, take it up with the Mint". Get stuffed Sally.

Oh well, up until now I had a complete set of uncirculated commemorative $2 coins. That's the end of that project as I won't be buying from the scalpers again either. When the local bank stops handling cash it will be the end of collecting for me. It used to be an enjoyable hobby....sigh.
