Weak S On 1875 Trade Dollar

I thought this was an 1875 P Trade dollar but when I took a closer look I can see the faint outline of an S. What would make the S look so weak? And shouldnt the S be tilted in the other direction? I'm not very knowledgable about Trade dollars.

It could have been lightly Struck Through Grease in that area or could be an Over Polished Die issue. My best guess is Struck Through Grease.
