Hey guys, I found this 1984 P Kennedy half. It has no marks on edging or anything, 1984 P, My grandfather is letting me look through all of his coins and he has tons of halves to go through in plastic tubes from the 1950s through 90s. I hope the images are clear enough to see.
Does this look like a die clash? or Man made?

to the CCF!

It sure looks like a Die Clash to me too! It also looks like the Die Clash occurred with the Dies out of alignment. I've seen this before, but it's usually not quite as far off.

Here's a Clash Overlay of the Kennedy with the images shifted to match your coin. It shows approximately where the dies were positioned they struck each other.

Interesting coin!

Thank y'all and thank you for that picture @Yokozuna, Spot on! Just checked the reverse and it does have the clash on the reverse. Are die clashes normally apparent on both sides or usually just one side?
I've been collecting for 7 years (since I was 12) but, this is my first really apparent error that isn't a doubled die.

Glad to help.

Yes, most of the Clashed Die Strikes that I've seen are clashed on both sides of the resulting coin. You will find one with a die replaced on one side or the other, and/or die polish marks, but it looks like the mint didn't catch their error on this one.

I think I found a match here: http://www.maddieclashes.com/adc-50c-1984p-01/ but I'm not sure. You may be able to confirm that your coin was struck with the same die set by comparing your coin to the image. Let me know what you think.

Again and nice coin.
