Assuming it is a one off circular die break, crack or chip. The artifact is raised around the perimeter of the head. The center is level to the rest of the device. Looks like it might be an RPM too. "Circular" Die crack seems to be the most logical possibility since it is raised but it isn't symmetrical. EDIT: That is small since the columns are only about 1mm on center.
