This is one of my first Draped Bust Half Dollars, what do you think? The scratches are on the case and not the coin.

I'm not good at grading this series but any silver draped bust coin is a winner in my book.

I'll split the above and roll with F15.

I had to sell my 1806 a couple of years ago and still greatly regret it.

Looks VF but the obverse shot doesn't show any detail in the face of liberty. Can we see a shot with more light in the obverse?

Let me know if this helps, there is not much detail in the face. I tried to adjust different settings to try and bring out more details.

I'm gonna be at F12 obv and VF20 reverse, net F15. The periphery of the obv suggests a higher grade but the center of the same suggests a lower grade. A nice classic coin nevertheless.

i would grade this coin way different than a TPG would. from what I've seen they rarely take weak strike into consideration.

I'm looking at those stars, the bottom curl and the date on obv
UNITED & AMERICA, arrows on the reverse and the leftmost stars and cloud.

for me i'd grade it VF30. PCGS/NGC probably would call it F15 maybe VF20

The strike weakness (or thin planchet) resulted in a partially struck up piece. Draped Bust coinage is awesome. This is not a good example though. That said, I imagine you were able to pick this for a reasonable price.
