2015 Canadian Dime With Copper Edge

JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21713 Posts	Posted 02/07/2025 06:13 am to the CCF A dime is composed of a steel core plated with copper and a nickel. It is possible that some sort of environmental damage has exposed the copper plating. Hard to tell from photo supplied. Whatever the cause, it would have happened after it left the mint so it would be considered PMD Report this Post to the Staff

JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21713 Posts	Posted 02/07/2025 3:49 pm Possibly the top nickel layer has been removed exposing the underlying copper layer. However it happened, it didn't look like this when it left the mint so it is some sort of damage however it was caused. Report this Post to the Staff
