Hey all my coin hunters!! I have a question for anyone that can answer it, it would be greatly appreciated it.
Today I was going through my change figuring out what to keep and what to get rid of so I can cash them in (only to buy new coins) haha, but I came across this 2015 Blue Ridge Parkway Quarter and it has this gold look to it. I can't seem to find out what it is. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all!
Happy Hunting (:

Some sort of toning. Chemicals from the environment or heat

@ash, just is mentoined by @j-tal above, surface toning such as on your coin is commonly due to chemical or environmental exposure and is therefore not a mint error. However, we also do see quite a few gold-plated coins posted here. This is always aftermarket with such a small amount of gold as to not enhance the value of the coin. Either way, your coin is kinda cool looking, but only worth face value.
