Hard to capture the color correctly on this one. It's pretty much the nut brown of a typical copper cent, perhaps with a touch of olive.

Thanks, guys. I figured this coin might not straight grade, even at VG/F. It worked hard back in the day. I did take two images in indirect sunlight that at least got the color right. Sometimes I think putting little coins under harsh light and huge magnification really makes the surface dings look much worse, but it's the only way to see the variety details.

then dont do it.

all those scratches on both sides are still there regardless of the photos.
