When youve waited all day for the mailman , a weekend hits and it slips your mind. You know a coin is due to arrive.2:30 in the afternoon id already given up again for the day. But when you have that yellow padded envelope..unopened from its journey, stamps resplendent from the other side of the globe..aint it a buzz ?

I'm weird like that

I totally get that buzz every time. But recently, it's been on packages I'm expecting from my familiy due to me leaving for Iraq in a little over a month now. I'm sure I will get even a bigger buzz waiting for something while I'm over there, but I don't see me making any coin orders and receiving any shipments for another year Mike

I quite often get that buzz, and have to run right out to my local coin store, or jump online, with whatever extra cash that I have and shop for some coins to satisfy that buzz.

I keep the stamps too. I currently have stamps from Albania, Greece, the Philippines, Singapore and China sitting on the corner of my desk. I give them to my brother who is the family stamp collector.

Thanks for that WpgLwr , I'm feeling a bit sheepish to admit ..er..i joined the Stamp forum first,i only looked in here one day some months back...pretty much got hooked. Now I'm just coin daft , on the bright side I do have a world book of 19th century and early 20th century stamps that id gladly put up for trade , I should think about that eh ? Ooops , edited to add , I was gonna say..buzzin again big style tonight , there might be a padded envelope tomorrow , all I know is there are 2 early walkers , a barber half , an au Barber quarter and a Seated dime..happy days , if not tomorrow ..before the weekend I hope
