"Two Halves and a Dollar" Coins Giveaway Contest

To celebrate my upcoming 1,000th post, I'm hosting a special giveaway contest:
. . --- Everyone is welcome to participate ---

. . How to Enter:
Each participant may submit one (1) guess only.
Your guess should be the total sum of the dates on all three coins shown.
. . Example:
. . . . . . . Coin 1: 1965
. . . . . . . Coin 2: 2016
. . . . . . . Coin 3: 1892
. . . . . . . Total = 5,873

. . Winning Criteria:
The participant whose guess is closest to the correct total without going over will win all three coins.

. . Bonus Opportunity:
A special extra prize (1-Silver Eagle Dollar and 1oz Silver Bar) will be awarded if the winner is a "Coin Community Family" financial contributing member (must display "Supporter" on your profile at the time of your guess). This Bonus is worth more than the donation, so please donate today!

. . Winner Announcement:
The winner will be revealed immediately following my 1,000th post.

I will post the Contest coins on Monday (10/27/2025)

Thanks to everyone for being part of this great community — and good luck!

Make me laugh, I read the thread. Here's my take.

When you post the 3 coins, wouldn't we know the dates then? Seems like a cutoff. You may post so fast, that's all the time before you hit a grand.

Thanks again, I'll stick with my guess when the time comes.

loonielewy, No, only the coin's reverse will be shown, providing a visual clue to its era without revealing the exact year. For example, if I place a Franklin half dollar reverse-side up you'll see design details that suggest when it was minted, but the actual date will still be your guess.

.
. . . . Please READ the instructions on the top of the first page before you make your guess.

The Idea here is to guess the mint date, the total SUM of all three coins listed below, without going over.
If another player or players submit the same closest total number as another player, it will result in a tie. Still, only one winner will be determined through a tiebreaker challenge.

Bonus Opportunity:
A special extra prize (2oz. SIlver) will be awarded if the winner is a "Coin Community Family" financial contributing member (must display "Supporter" on your profile at the time of your guess).
. . . Become a CCF contributing member to win the bonus that is included..

. . . Again, Thanks to everyone for being part of this great community — and good luck!

Fun contest. I had to get out my Red Book and do a bit of research on the half dollar type date ranges. Now I'm smarter on them.

My guess is:

5566

Thanks for the contest.

Best of wishes to the players.
