Not me! Halves seldom circulate enough nowadays to show that much wear!

I found many examples of genuinely worn JFK 1/2s.

The only way that they get that worn down is when people use them as pocket pieces for many years. The friction of rubbing around against other coins and in the pocket itself wears the coin down significantly over a long period of time.

Here are several 40%ers. All these are genuinely worn, not from casino because they still have a reeded edge.

I see the rare one in that condition, but most in a box are XF at a minimum.

G-4 JFK halves should be worth more as they are a conditional rarity right?

Wow, I've never seen worn Kennedys like those. I do sometimes see Kennedys with no reeding, probably due to casino use.

I agree with the "pocket piece" theory! Half dollars just don't circulate enough to show that kind of normal wear.

Seriously..does anyone really do that anymore ? I dont even carry a wallet..pockets empty as a rule..no reason really.

Some of those look worn by other than natural causes definately.
