I got this coin as a part of an ebay lot about a year ago, and I thought I would post a picture it. It is my understanding that finding a love token in this good of condition is fairly uncommon. Does anybody have an estimate of its value or other thoughts?

Very few people do collect this type of Coin Token and might want to have it...
But, as far as value, the going price would be the weight of the medal that it's made out of...
I love this item, but it's a damaged coin.

They're pretty sought after. I would say anywhere from 30 to 50 bucks. Could go higher if 2 people start fighting over it. The obverse is in great condition.

Nice looking token.

Unusual IMO for the host coin to be a dime, the small diameter limits the engraver. These are usually found on larger diameter host coins.

too bad they sanded down such a high grade coin to make this token. I would have loved to see both side intact at the grade the obverse presents. (it is better than most in my collection)

When I bought the ebay lot, all I saw was the reverse and I had very low expectations. It was a surprise when the obverse was so nice.

I agree with this price point. These bring a premium above the precious metal content if they're well done, and the majority I've seen are on dimes. I enjoy finding these with specific initials or themes.

When I proposed to my wife years ago, I gave her an antique love token bearing her initials (her "new" initials after we were married) on a $2.5 Liberty Head gold coin. She has always said that was more exciting than a ring (which she eventually got as well )

I have a couple dozen LTs - most are on dimes but also have a couple on 19th century Canadian quarters.

Very nice token, nicer than many!
