I was looking through some old BU rolls I purchased a while back and found nearly an entire roll of 1968-D's that exhibit an unusual anomaly between the bays on the reverse along with what appears to be a RPM on the obverse. I looked in maddieclashes but didn't find anything like it. So what do y'all think?

Here are images from 6 different examples from the roll...

I'm thinking a Die Clash and an RPM. Nice find.

That's what I thought too...until I realized it looks like Lincoln's chin except it's backwards. Am I right?

Nice die clashes on the reverse and a nice RPM - do you see any signs of a clash on the obverse?

(Are the close up images screen shots?

90% of my coin life is searching bank rolls but every now and then I like to buy a few BU rolls to search. It's always fun to find multiples of the same die, especially when there is an error or variety involved.

You need to remember that the raised area you see on a coin from a clash is from a recessed area on the die. What you are seeing is under the chin, not the chin itself. I have circled the area that is actually clashed and also rotated the Mad Die Clashes pic to show you how much the clash is rotated and south. You will find that clashes are very seldom oriented correctly, almost always rotated and north or south of center. I did not look through RPM listings but yours may be too minor to list if not listed. Very cool finds though, congrats!
