Minneapolis Coin Dealers?

I know I buy most of my supplies through a place in Minneapolis (Valley Coin). Of course this is internet sales, but I think they have a B&M store. I also remember when I was a real young boy, I was visiting my uncle and aunt in Minneapolis and they took me to a coin store. I found a used Dansco Fiji folder (not the current album) and was ecstatic. I was working on a Fiji set at the time and living in a tiny town in WI myself, anything from Fiji was nearly impossible to find. Flash forward to the "modern" age, about 8 years ago I bought an entire predecimal set from Fiji in a single ebay purchase. The thrill of finding that used folder far exceeded the satisfaction received when I bought the entire set in a single purchase. Go figure!

I think I need to retract my endorsement of Valley Coin, just looked, Cowens 2 X 2's are $3.89 per hundred at Valley, but $1.89 per 100 at Wizard supply. Valley does have much cheaper shipping, they promise $5.49 no matter what, I just paid about $14 for shipping from Wizard. But since I bought about 1500 2 X 2's as well as a bunch of other stuff, I'll try to remember to buy from Wizard the next time.

Every time I go to Minneapolis, I hit Premium Quality Coin. It is at 110 S. 7th St, suite 222W. He seems to have alot of good quality coins, and doesn't seem overpriced to me. Also, a biggie for me, is that he doesn't try to rush you in and out, he will take the time to talk about coins. It is a nice atmosphere, and I try to get there every time I get a chance.

Valley coin does have a B&M store. They are not too bad, but they do not have much out for show and do not seem to enjoy bringing stuff out for you to look at. I always talked good about them, but the last couple times I've been there for supplies they were kind of snotty as if they are wasting their time with me. I bought over $100, shouldn't be upset with that. So I guess have to say that they are better to deal with online, not in person.

I've been to Valley Coin several times and have found them to be friendly, helpful and whomever I dealt with always took time out to answer my questions no matter how much I was planning on spending that day. They've brought out coins for me to look at even if they knew I wasn't going to buy them. They let me wander in the back room (the one with all the books and folders) unsupervised and if there was something I couldn't find the fellow would get it for me.

Premium Quality Coin shopping has always been a pleasant experience for me also.

There's supposed to be another coin shop in south Bloomington that I haven't visited yet.
