Every collector ends up with a certain number of impulse purchases that are eventually sold or traded, but are there any cheapies that you like to buy on a regaulr basis?

My low-cost areas are decent-looking Mercury dimes from junk silver buckets and Canadian nickels. They are attractive coins that can be bought for very little money.

There are a million of them out there and many still look great! The design holds up even through circulation! And the design is just SO classic!

My weakness is common date wheat cents prior to 1940. While I have in excess of 500, I can't seem to stop swapping a couple of State Quarters
for another one whenever I get to the coin shop or flea market.

I'm a sucker for silver coins in general. If it's something I don't have I'll usually pick it up. I figure I can sell it for junk silver or trade it all for something nice like the 1875 CC 20 cent piece I'm saving for!
