Bought a bag of wheats from a dealer online. I'm about half way through. I bought this bag to see if my heart still beats fast when I find something decent. . . It still does

The VDB is crusty, the 1897 was fun, and the 12 is cleaned, I'm still having fun!

No from HCC coins, I know better than to buy a bag from ebay!

Nice to see that somebody can still find something from an unsearched bag of Wheats!

There's a good bit of heavily worn early dates in this bag. Some 1911's 12's etc. I had to stop for the day!

I did. That doesn't surprise me a bit. Imo 99% of dealers are crooks when it comes to selling to them. If it wasn't for this wonderful forum I would probably never sell any coins! Oh yeah I pulled a 1910-S out right before work!

On the bright side, it sounds like you got a better mix that the typical 40s/50s from many dealers.

Nice finds sublime118. I'm not sure I'd be able to set the bag aside once I'd opened it.

It's almost 10pm as I type this, and I've got an unopened bank-box sitting just a few feet away...

I'm pretty sure I'll start digging into it before the night is over.

I jumped back on it, I had to go to work for 6 hours. I have about 1/5th of the bag left and I'm gonna save it until tomorrow night. If I ever hit the lotto, I'm gonna buy all the wheats I can, and have my butler seed it with keys, and take my big boat out in the middle of the ocean and sort!
