Found this nickel going through a box of nickels last night; thought I'd share!

I guess Joey Underwood was really bored one day, and decided to etch his name in history. If anybody happens to see him, tell him I have his nickel, but HE CAN'T HAVE IT BACK!
Rest in Peace

He was smart to put his name on it in case he lost it. Now we know who it belongs to.

Thats a good one CND .... I as well 'save' the funny Jeffersons I find like this ... and the coins with impossible to explain 'damages' that are man-made .... makes you wonder just exactly what people were thinking.

If I see Joey I'll tell him he can have it back for a few 1950-D (we'll share).

Would be nice if he had given some hint as to how you can find him. I used to purchase old silver from a shop near here (I live near a military base). Alot of the silver was id bracelets, St. Christophers, etc. The guy I bought them from found them them in and near a lake on the military base. Many of the items have the soldiers name and some have a series of numbers that I take as some sort of ID. I have searched around the net to see if there was any way to identify/locate the soldiers by the names and numbers; no luck yet. I just think it would be very cool to be able to send the item back to the soldier as a simple way to say thanks for what they do. If it were not for them, we would not be able to be sitting around searching for these little pieces of history.
