My apologies if this topic has been covered before.

I just spent $3.99 for 48 "cointainers" at Office-Max. (yeah, I was too lazy to drive to Walmart)...

I'm finding myself buying more and more "shrink-wrapped" bank boxes...which means that I'm finding myself asking the bank for more and more wrappers. My local BofA has been very good so far, but I do not want to upset things.

All of this led me to do a search for "coin wrappers" on the innernet. :)

I found this...and thought I'd share... http://www.quill.com/search/search....chPageType=2

$45 worth of office supplies gets me free shipping. I happen to be "chief-cook-and-bottle-washer" at my family-owned business...along with holding the title of "guy that buys stuff when we need it."

A little over $5 buys me 1000 wrappers...

Watch out for the shipping charges though...the wrappers alone will cost ya $7 extra...

I remove the coins without breaking the wrappers and re-use the wrappers.

I have the same predicament, I go through more nickels than I have wrappers. Many times I have a box of nickels laying around the house but don't have any wrappers so I cant look through it. I drop off about $250 or $300 of nickels at a time and they only give me a handful (50-100) wrappers in return. This has caused me to start looking into doing the same thing, buying 1000 wrappers or so at a time to help keep up with the number of coins I search each week.

I reuse the shrink wrapped wrappers if needed! I also have a bank with free Coinstar for customers! I seldom need to reroll anymore!

If you don't want to go through the hassle of e-commerce, try and see if you can't find a local business supply store (not like Staples, Office Depot, etc; something more local/mom and pop) that can order bulk quantities of wrappers and just have you pick them up whenever they get them. I have just such a business supply store a stone's throw from my house that lets me get boxes of 1k coin rolls for ~$7, no S&H. All I have to do is wait a day or two after ordering for them to arrive.

Wow...expensive.

Bags of mixed "preformed" are available here in a big bag for a buck at the dollar store. They also have packs of the coin wrappers (35 count) for the same price, but they're all one type.

$6 x 35 per pak = 210 wrappers. That's expensive. For $6 you get 1000 on the ebay site.

True, but I seldom need 1000. I was looking more at the price of their shotgun rolls.

When I used to roll search from bank boxes I would always reuse the wrappers. I never had a shrink wrapped roll box yet.

I would just make friends with another bank and get rolls from them. They might also have stuff for you to search through too!

Just left the bank with a box of pennies and 50 free wrappers. I like free.
