Received a cent in my change today and it appeared to have no copper color on it, it looks like the metal used on the $1 coins. In looking at through a magnifing glass I can see what looks like some copper color on "Once cent" very little but can be seen with a magnifer.
Would this be an error? It does not looked like someone removed and when I get home I can try ot get a picture or scan and post.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Ron

rons1961,
A photo of the coin would help a lot and we here on CCF like coin photos . What you describe sounds like a brass plated cent, there are known years for this kind of variety; '83,'85-D,'97,'97-D,'98. Don't know of any for '05 but I guess it is possible.

Here are some scanned pictures. It is not "red" in the least.
