Please identify this coin for me. I found it probably 15 years ago walking in my neighborhood. I found it dropped in the dirt actually. Is it real do you think? It is about the size of a current U.S. quarter piece but unevenly thicker. What's it worth?
In that condition, it's almost impossible to tell if it's real or not. It's also impossible to tell exactly what it is. The portrait looks Roman, from the middle period, and the reverse shows the winged Victory - something not entirely unlike this coin.
But I can't be sure; it could even be Greek.
Unidentified (and unidentifiable) ancient bronze coins are typically worth just a few dollars.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
