As described in the "Contest for New Ideas Contest" we just finished, the idea behind this contest is to guess
what coin I last acquired for my coin collection.Rules:1. You must have 50 posts to win.
2. You have one guess per day.
3. All guesses
MUST have:
- a Year (i.e. 320 A.D., 1790, etc.)
- a Mint mark (if the coin that year/country/type had one (i.e., D, C, W, etc.)
- a Coin Type Name (i.e. kopek, crown, half-penny, quarter-dollar, etc.)
- a Country name (England, Zimbabwe, Australia, Japan, etc.)
For example: If you guessed a 1932 U.S. Quarter Dollar, it would count as a P since there was
no mint mark on the Philadelphia minted quarters that year. If you wanted a 1932 D U.S. Quarter Dollar you would have to specify that.
ALSO!All guesses, to be counted,
must have (at least) an obverse and a reverse picture of that coin!(This will get all those who don't have picture editing software to download it and then use it. Now there will be no excuses that anyone can't post pictures of their coins!) There's a method to my madness.

I recommend
Irfanview at
Irfanview.com. It's free to download and very easy to use.
If you don't have that coin in your collection, try our CCF Coin Facts, or the US Coin Image Gallery in the Navigation Bar to your left to download a picture. If not that, Google it and copy and paste that! (Just make sure your pictures are not much more than 100kb. (500 x 500 pixels) in order to download it to the CCF. (That's where the
Irfanview comes in!)
So... pick your coin choice, describe it, and post a picture of your guess. Easy!
Metaphors, similes, alliterations, onomatopoeias, and juxtapositions are welcome, even encouraged!

The winner gets a nice 1879
Morgan dollar! (It's a very nice!)
This contest will end when someone chooses the coin I most recently acquired!
I may give clues if necessary. I will also answer questions (maybe...).
So post away, my friends! It's my 1,000th post party!
