DylansDad Valued Member United States 476 Posts	Posted 03/03/2010 1:53 pm Had these in my pocket today to show a buddy my interesting finds at lunch today, so thought I'd throw them on the office scanner/copier and see how they turned out. They didn't turn out great but I think you can get the point. The Jefferson has a die clash, you can see the bust outlined on the reverse and a small bit of Monticello to the right of the bust on the Obverse. The Washington has a small Cud at 1-2 o'clock. Also nothing spectacular but it was my first Cud so of course I kept him. Report this Post to the Staff

steve199 Pillar of the Community United States 1882 Posts	Posted 03/03/2010 2:18 pm Always nice to find a Cud or a clash! Is the "clash" raised on the nickel? Or is it a slight depression? It could be caused by an old die rather than a clash...an impression from one die is transferred to the opposite die over time. Transferred through the coins that are being struck. Of course it is impossible to say from the scan. Report this Post to the Staff
