After yrs of looking, I opened the 36th roll in a box and found this. Not MS, but darn nice and no splits in the plating any where. I knew that if I ever found this coin it would look like drive-up window material. I have been very lucky. Just wanted to share. Jim Edited by Jim1953 03/01/2010 10:13 pm

I'm sorry, Richard. In the rush to take pics and post I failed to mention what the heck it is. Yes, AU 1999-P Wide AM. Jim

That's awesome. I want to find one of those but I don't have the patience for roll hunting.

Lucky you. Nice find. Glad to know they are still out there. In my last 4 boxes of cents I've found 10 wheats, 10 Canadian, no RPMs, no WAMs and a few 7th column DDRs (up for auction on CCF.) Pretty slim pickings.

That's a nice clean looking coin. I too found one finally several days ago but not in as nice condition. Well done!

Thank you fellas. This one took yrs of 2 to 4 boxes a week. I would be scared to know how many I have looked at. daviscfad, I live in Maryland on the "Eaatern shore" about 30 minutes from the ocean and about 100 miles due sotuth of Philly. I think I set in just about the perfect place to be roll searching in. This one is nice enough that it is in my building pile of coins for certification. Any thoughts on grade? The only things I see on on the eyebrow and back of the shoulder and not sure they are wear. Jim

I would call it AU-58, it is still really Red and it would not take too much circulation to knock it down to RB or BN.

Congrats! I'm new to searching, have probably only done about 4 boxes of cents, hopefully it won't take 4 years to find my first WAM. But, if it is as nice as yours, it'll be worth the wait. AU-58 sounds about right, and is a great addition to any collection. Congrats again.
