Mintage Figures For Japanese 1 Rin Coin For Meiji 7 (1874)?

wmcduff New Member Canada 27 Posts	Posted 01/16/2011 9:30 pm Just wondering where I might find such statistics? http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces14000.html lists none for that year, and the Japanese mint lists 44,491,550 as being minted, which is the total of the numbers shown. However, Meiji 7 coins are available on ebay, so I find that hard to believe. Any ideas where I can get accurate numbers? Report this Post to the Staff

svslav Pillar of the Community United States 2605 Posts	Posted 01/16/2011 10:30 pm In the Krause catalog they show mintage figure of 6,979,000 for combined Meiji yr. 6 & 7. The most scarce for the type is yr. 13 - only 810 pieces. Report this Post to the Staff
gxseries Pillar of the Community Australia 3835 Posts	Posted 01/17/2011 05:33 am Some of the early mintage coins were not recorded on a yearly basis so some figures are shown as combined mintage. Meiji 7 rin coins aren't rare even in XF condition because they didn't circulate much.
