Overdoing The Grit Blast

So the Mint needs to tone down the frost a bit, we can see the details below. Although the coin on the right appears to be superior at first glance (more contrast)... in fact has deteriorated die and the frost is acting as a mask. Details on the left coins are far superior.

The Mint needs to adjust the grit size.

Yes, and some coins in prior years also have some kind of lacquer, or varnish that makes me wonder. Most predominantly on proof sets (fortunately 2011 is ok, but the grit blast is still too intense IMO).
