For me, a very corroded 1902 Indian Head cent. It was my first Indian Head cent found in circulation and I was ecstatic.

I've made many nice discoveries over the years - not sure which one rises to the top of the list, but for a recent find, finding a 1994 LMC with a 165 degree rotation comes to mind.

If you set your expectations too high, your bound to become frustrated sooner. I take what the coin gods give me: sometimes they smile and sometimes they frown on me. So, take delight in the little discoveries and enjoy the success others are having here at CCF. I really enjoy the CRH forums and the pictures folks share. Nice to see that real finds can be had and I often learn of new things to look for.

I've been lucky with WAMS: 5 in the past few months (I'm East Coast). But I can't seem to find the 1988 Transitional LMC with the RDV-006. According to the numbers John Wexler posted, I should have found a few by now. But it'll happen sooner-or-later. I did a box over the past couple of weeks and pulled out 24 coins to do some IDing. So about a 1% yield of which only a couple will merit keeping. But I am a process oriented person; I enjoy the hunting as much or more so than finding something super valuable. Minor finds help to make the process worthwhile. So good luck fellow searchers - find something cool and post some pictures!

In my first ever bank wrapped box, I found a 1890 Indian Head cent! My other great find was a 1916 canada penny!

I found this in a roll: 2006 Magnetic Full Reverse Brockage. Sold to another CCF member and now sits in a PCGS MS-64 holder.

I've found four Indians (which were found all in the same weekend). Those are my favorite to find, but I've also found a solid roll of 1960 Lincoln Memorial pennies, uncirculated. Crazy to think that that roll is older than I am, and has never been cracked open until I did it a couple years ago. I've also found lots of wheats and Canadians.

@thewheatman I think that would be impossible as Canada was still using the large penny in 1916. They're about the size of a Susan B. Anthony/Presidential dollar.

My oldest find is a 1900 Indian Head cent. I've also found several 2000 WAM's and several 1998 WAM's. My best find is a 1992 D CAM. I haven't been lucky enough to find a 1999 WAM yet though.

My best find in a penny roll would be an 1863 American Civil War token. At first I thought it was an Indian Head cent because it was very corroded. What's more surprising is that I found it in a roll of Canadian cents up here in Canada in 2012 during the intial cent cull the banks & Government were conducting. Next would be a late 1800's cent from the Netherlands and then a 1909 Wheat cent. Cheers!
