I found two uncirculated rolls of 2005 d bison nickels while going through a nickel box. I'm wondering whether I should turn them back into the bank at face value or hold on to them awhile. Would a dealer offer me anything over face for the rolls with them being uncirculated and the same mint mark? Would they be worth anything over face in another 10-25 years?

I searched through them and I didn't find any errors. On a side note I found three Buffalo nickels in the roll too. Two undated and a 1936 d in fine condition. There was a lot of bison in that box.

OBWs are still available @ 3 bucks. Bunches of these were put back, so I'd spend 'em.

well, they are worth 5 cents. In thirty years they will be worth 5 cents. They were not exactly a low mintage coin although I am not near any of reference books, I am sure they will never be any kind of key date.

If you hold on to them you have $4 saved and who knows someday some kid just starting collecting would think a roll of Jefferson Bison nickels was the best gift ever.

On the other hand if you spent them you would have four dollars worth of something else. If you return them to the bank you could get two more rollsto look through.

Up to you
