All throughout Canada there are billboards stating that Judgement Day is May 21, 2011. Five months after, on October 21, 2011 will be the END OF THE WORLD! Any plans for your Collection prior to the End? Gonna sell it off? Maybe ya gonna leave to yo next o' Kin? Perhaps the ex-wife might wanna have it? Maybe you gonna dig a big hole and put it in the ground? Some of ya may leave it in the Bank in hopes of gettin' re-incarnated? However ya decide, let me know! That is a good and funny question. The thing is it really will not matter if it is the end of the world. You can hold onto your collection a little longer by moving here to the USA. Our world isn't going to end until December 21, 2012. That will give almost another year and 2 months.

Waittaminute Quote: glenzy1:Perhaps I will when I retire You retired ! Congratulations! A portion of my collection is going to the museum, just a few rare pieces I came across and wouldn't want on the open market. The rest to the kids, I hope the loot serves them well. They have specific instructions on how to sell it; they'll follow them.

When everyone else is dead it will be a buyers market. I plan on completing my collection with high grade coins at dirt cheap prices, and then I shall rule the world of rats and cockroaches!

I think that's Canada only; I believe we here in the lower 48 have some sort of dispensation. I will have to go through my Terminator DVD's for specifics...

I am with coinstar. I love how some try to create pandemonium. I will stock up on ammo just in case ;)

I welcome the end of the World! That will also mean the end of fiat money!
Perhaps, then, precious metals will be valued in REAL terms!
I do not care, however, I will not be here. I will be a pretty hard target to hit if you can't see me! As long as I can take my love of numismatics with me, I won't be worried, and you can have my collection if you want it.

Quote: I welcome the end of the World! That will also mean the end of fiat money! What's wrong with fiat money? Without it, we'd have hyper-inflated prices of gold/silver due to demand being crazy high. And that's just for the coins... let's not even talk about the economic growth that has been enabled by fiat money. Yes, it has worth because it is declared to have worth. Then again, the same can be said about opinions.

Absolutely! As one of our member puts it: "My opinion is worth exactly what you've paid for it."

Perhaps, then, precious metals will be valued in REAL terms! You realise that, on the other side, the streets are going to be paved with gold, right? Sounds like there'll be a serious glut in PMs over there.

As for the billboards, they're even here in Australia. Posted by some bunch from America called familyradio. There's a local radio station here in Brisbane called "Family Radio"; they've had to put out counter-advertisements denying any affiliation with these wackos.
